German product designer Sebastian Herkner will present the Bell Table for ClassiCon during the Salone del Mobile in Milan.
The table is made of hand-blown glass with a brass top, which juxtaposes the reflective transparency of the former with the industrial solidity of the later. The glass is formed using a traditional technique and a wooden mould.
‘The transparent tinted glass base asserts a sculptural presence in space, contrasting intriguingly with the solid brass frame on top while also forming with it a harmonious unit recalling the elegant curving silhouette of a bell,’ Herkner says.
